We are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our ever growing team. The successful candidate will be able to carry out the key responsibilities below with confidence and attention to detail, demonstrating the ability to multitask effectively in a faced paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all outstanding contractor design portions and submittals when the project is live, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
- Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers and subcontractors, analysing bids, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of materials and services.
- Contract Administration: Manage all aspects of contract administration, including drafting and reviewing contracts, interpreting contract terms and conditions, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Cost Control: Implement robust cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle, monitoring project expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions to maintain project profitability.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with cost, schedule, and quality throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring proactive risk management to minimise project disruptions and cost overruns.
- Change Management: Manage change orders and variations (including pricing variations), evaluating impacts on cost and schedule, negotiating equitable adjustments, and ensuring proper documentation and communication with stakeholders.
- Value Engineering: Lead value engineering initiatives to optimise project costs without compromising quality or functionality, collaborating with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative solutions.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive cost reports, forecasts, and financial analyses to provide project stakeholders with accurate and timely information on project performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and risks.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, fostering open communication and addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to Project Managers and other project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
