Sympathetically enhancing this very old house has been a real treat for the team here at BNG.
We are so pleased to be able to share this project with you. The owners of this beautiful old home wanted a lot of work done but while keeping the charm and character of the home.
What was once a double garage has now been converted into a large hobby room for the owners; this room now connects to the main house with a brand new extension built by us, which also incorporates a large ceiling lantern – this gives a generous amount of natural light to the dining space.
That’s not all; outside, we have erected a retaining wall to house plant beds, supporting the owners’ side of the church wall. Also, the front porch area has been opened and looks lovely.
And for that bespoke touch, after we discovered an old tumbled wall and a pile of old rubble at the back of the property, buried under the overgrowth, we took it upon ourselves to build the client a whole new wall with the old rubble found – that’s just one of the many ways we gave fresh life to this home while keeping it full of character.
This was a great project, and we are beyond pleased with how it turned out.
