A commercial renovation and fit-out of a veterinary centre in Thurston, Suffolk, instructed via Feilden + Mawson Architects. The building needed to function as a live clinical environment from day one, not simply look the part.
Veterinary premises carry compliance requirements a standard commercial fit-out doesn’t, including X-ray shielding, alongside the practical need to keep disruption to a minimum for a business handling live animal care throughout.
In-house QS and procurement gave the instructing architect a single point of accountability for both cost and the specialist compliance detail, rather than splitting that responsibility across separate specialist subcontractors and consultants.
A modernised veterinary centre delivered to a named architectural practice’s specification, evidence of Bespoke’s capability on technically demanding commercial fit-out work at a scale below the firm’s typical multi-house schemes.
