INFORMATION
How Frameworks Work
A framework is a pre-approved list of suppliers that a public body, housing association or other organisation can call on without running a full tender for every individual project. Getting onto a framework means passing a vetting process covering financial standing, health and safety, quality management and technical capability, before a single project is ever discussed.
For a private client, the practical takeaway is the same whether or not you’re procuring through a framework yourself: a framework-vetted contractor has already been checked against a standard most private clients would have no easy way to verify on their own.
